National Ice Cream Day is celebrated every third Sunday in July, thanks to a 1984 proclamation by President Ronald Reagan. He called on Americans to enjoy the “nutritious and wholesome food” that ice cream represents — and today, over 90% of U.S. households do just that.
But while most people think about flavors and toppings, few realize the critical role pumps play in bringing ice cream from farm to freezer.
