Veterans Day facts

Veterans Day was originally known as Armistice Day and was declared a holiday in honor of World War I Veterans in 1938
Veterans Day is on November 11th because that was the day that fighting ended in World War I (The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month)
Veterans Day was expanded to honor all veterans in 1954
